RegSys is a Community of Special Interest (COSI) that organizes part of the ISMB meeting.

The next ISMB meeting will take place from July 12-16, 2026 in Washington, DC [1]. ISMB brings together scientists from computer science, molecular biology, mathematics, statistics, and related fields to discuss the latest developments and applications of advanced computational methods for biological problems. RegSys specifically studies how regulatory sequences in the genome regulate gene expression, how gene regulatory networks form and evolve, and how defects in gene regulation lead to human diseases such as cancer. The goal of the meeting is to foster a collaborative community wherein scientists openly exchange ideas and methods to solve difficult problems in computational regulatory genomics.
